A 37-year-old transient was arrested in Lake Los Angeles after Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies found three pipe bombs in his possession, authorities said Sunday.
Jay Lynch was being held in lieu of $100,000 bail on suspicion of possession of destructive devices after deputies found the seven-inch-long pipe bombs in the 100 block of East Avenue S-8 about 4:40 p.m. Saturday, Deputy Angie McLaughlin said.
The bombs were taken to the Peter J. Pitchess Honor Rancho in Castaic for safekeeping, McLaughlin said.
