CS Northridge Loses Its Fourth in a Row, 90-65

CEDAR CITY, Utah — Southern Utah went on a 19-2 run during the first half Saturday night and rolled to a 90-65 victory over Cal State Northridge before 2,241 at the Centrum.
It was the fourth consecutive loss for the Matadors (7-11), who next must play Missouri in Columbia, Mo., on Wednesday.
“I can’t put my finger on it, besides lack of hustle,” Northridge guard Brooklyn McLinn said.
Southern Utah, which came in shooting a respectable 48.9%, made 32 of its 46 field-goal attempts (69.5%).
Southern Utah (9-8) made six of nine three-point shots in taking a 45-22 halftime lead. Northridge, which had shot better than 40% from three-point range in its first 14 games, was one of 11.
McLinn led Northridge with 17 points. Richard Barton had 23 for Southern Utah.
