Judge Dismisses Kerkorian’s Credit Lyonnais Suit: The French bank, which owns the MGM studio, said Superior Court Judge Richard Hubbell ruled Kerkorian failed to state a legally viable claim when he alleged that Credit Lyonnais had defrauded him in financing Italian businessman Giancarlo Parretti’s ill-fated purchase of MGM from Kerkorian in 1990. A spokesman for Kerkorian, however, called the development a technicality, adding that the billionaire plans to file an amended lawsuit next week.
