Northridge’s Collins May Lose Eligibility

Cal State Northridge freshman basketball player Alana Collins probably will be declared academically ineligible later this week for the remainder of the season.
Collins, a forward, sat out Saturday’s game at Southern Illinois because “her eligibility is in question,” Matador Coach Kim Chandler said.
Collins, the 1992 Times’ Westside player of the year as a University High senior, is second on the Matadors in rebounding (5.9 per game) and sixth in scoring (4.8).
