Westside : New Congressional Offices
Two members of Congress who represent part of the Westside recently opened new offices to serve their constituents.
Rep. Anthony C. Beilenson, a veteran member of Congress with deep political roots on the Westside, has been forced by redistricting to move his office from West Los Angeles to the San Fernando Valley.
After political boundaries were redrawn to reflect changes in population, Beilenson, a Democrat, won reelection in the new 24th District, which extends from Malibu across the Santa Monica Mountains and encompasses much of the western San Fernando Valley and part of Ventura County.
Beilenson’s new district office is at 21031 Ventura Blvd., Suite 1010, Woodland Hills, CA 91364. The telephone number is (818) 999-1990.
Rep. Jane Harman has opened her district office near Los Angeles International Airport at 5200 W. Century Blvd., Suite 960, Los Angeles, CA 90045. The telephone number is (310) 348-8220.
Harman, also a Democrat, represents the 36th District, a coastal district stretching from Venice to the Palos Verdes Peninsula.
