Clyde T. Turner Named President at Circus Circus

Circus Circus Enterprises Inc. named Clyde T. Turner as president and chief financial officer after the surprise resignation of Glenn W. Schaeffer. Turner was formerly executive vice president and chief financial officer of Mirage Resorts Inc.
Circus Circus shares tumbled Friday as investors reacted warily to the departure of Schaeffer, the company’s president. “Because Circus Circus has been the darling of the investment community for some time--and an important aspect of this was Glenn Schaeffer--the disenchantment with the company could continue for a while,” said Mark Manson, an analyst at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette.
