Don’t Speak for All Burbank

In regard to statements by Viviano Garcia and Joe Garcia in the story “Latino Residents Demand Ouster of Burbank Official” (Times Valley Edition, Feb. 9) that “Mr. Shively’s remarks are offensive to all citizens of Burbank”:
I will not tolerate a self-appointed, self-pitying vanguard representing me on public issues without my permission. Their letter is 100% political and lacks merit. Apparently, they lack the ability to determine how the comment was made and are only interested in jumping on the bandwagon.
I suppose these two have never inadvertently made a statement that someone could interpret as offensive, such as gringo .
