Special Fund Could Help Trim Deficit
There are many senior citizens who want to help reduce the federal deficit and have the means to do so.
President Clinton should create a “deficit reduction fund” where money can be donated and used solely for the reduction of the deficit.
If the names of those who contribute were made public and lauded, this could encourage big business to chip in to curry favor with the public. It would be great public relations.
The people are fed up with corruption by special interests and with corporations that spend millions of dollars to defeat bills in the public interest.
