Man Found Shot in Parking Lot Dies of Wound

SANTA ANA — A 40-year-old man believed to be a transient died early Saturday after being shot, police said.
Tomas Montia DeGuerrero was discovered by police Friday night lying on his back in a parking lot with a bullet in his side.
He was disoriented when he was found at 8:42 p.m. at 1902 W. Walnut St., said Cpl. Hector Mariani.
DeGuerrero was treated by paramedics and transported to UC Irvine Medical Center, where he died shortly after midnight.
A homicide investigation “failed to reveal any motives, witnesses or suspects,” Mariani said.
