‘Beauty’ on Stage: Houston has been chosen as the debut site for the Disney Co.’s new stage production of its animated movie musical, “Beauty and the Beast.” The show will open at the Houston Music Hall in time for the Christmas holiday season, and a move from Houston to Broadway is anticipated. The show will mark the first time that Disney has adapted one of its animated musicals for a full-fledged “legit” production.
