A 14-year-old Rosemead boy has been arrested in the gang-related stabbing death of a young man whose body was found early Monday at a Rosemead elementary school, authorities said Tuesday.
The suspect, whose name was not released because he is a juvenile, was taken into custody at 5 p.m. Monday after deputies stopped him on a street in Rosemead, Los Angeles County sheriff’s Sgt. Dirk Edmundson said.
Murder charges will be filed in Pasadena Juvenile Court later this week against the youth, who is being held without bail in East Lake Juvenile Hall, Edmundson said.
Three others are being sought in the stabbing of David Dorado, 19, of Rosemead, which occurred at 2:12 a.m. at Emerson Elementary School. A resident phoned deputies after hearing a disturbance at the school. Deputies found Dorado’s body on the school blacktop. He had been stabbed numerous times.
