Senators on Gays in the Military

As a former Air Force flyboy (1942-45) I read with a great deal of disbelief the crybaby column of Navy Lt. (j.g.) Tracy Thorne (Commentary, May 7).
His enlistment as a naval aviation cadet was fraudulent at the outset. Had he told the truth about his sexual preference, he would not have been accepted, period!
I believe Thorne should be dishonorably discharged with ensuing loss of rank and privileges for lying under oath and defrauding the citizens of the U.S. I’ve seen good men, both officers and enlisted, tried by court-martial for far less.
