An armed robber held up three employees at a Ventura fast-food restaurant late Sunday night, forcing them to empty two cash registers, police said.
The man fled Wendy’s at 2662 E. Thompson Blvd., around 9:30 p.m., with an undisclosed amount of cash. Before leaving, he ordered an employee to yank a phone from the wall and threatened to harm others if they tried to go for help.
According to witnesses, the robber was wearing jeans, a black jacket, black boots and had a tattoo on his left hand. He was armed with a small, semiautomatic handgun that he concealed with his hands before pointing it at a cashier.
Sgt. Bob Anderson said police have no leads in the case, but the investigation is continuing.
