Pasadena : Trustees Back Library Tax

Pasadena City College trustees have endorsed a special library tax measure on the ballot June 22 in Pasadena.
It is the first time the college trustees have endorsed a ballot initiative unrelated to funding for higher education, PCC President Jack Scott said.
Library officials say the college’s students use the city’s central library and eight branches extensively.
The tax would provide an estimated $1.3 million for the library system.
The tax will cost a homeowner $20, an apartment owner $13 per unit, and the owner of a non-residential parcel of land a flat rate of $147.
