Dolco Packaging Profit Up on 6% Sales Rise

Dolco Packaging Corp., a Sherman Oaks manufacturer of plastic packaging products, reported that its second-quarter profit more than doubled, while sales increased 6%.
In the three months ended June 30, Dolco earned $900,000 on $14.7 million in sales. A year earlier, the company had $335,000 in net income on $13.9 million in sales.
Dolco said its improved results reflected its introduction of new products and more efficient manufacturing.
For the six months, Dolco earned $2.01 million, in contrast with $869,000 in net income in the 1992 period. Sales rose 7%, to $30.5 million from $28.5 million.
