Decomposing Body of Man Found Near Road

TUJUNGA — The decomposing body of a man was found near the side of a road in the Big Tujunga Canyon area Tuesday by sheriff’s deputies who smelled a foul odor while patrolling in the area, authorities said.
Investigators do not know the identity of the adult male, or how he died, said Deputy Diane Hecht.
The body was discovered in an embankment off the side of Big Tujunga Canyon Road near mile marker 3.79, Hecht said.
An autopsy is scheduled for later this week, Hecht said.
