This is an open letter to Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam (“Strange Brew: Vedder Vs. Spotlight,” Pop Eye, Oct. 3):
Sorry to hear you are bloated and can’t take the pressure of being a millionaire rock star. I have super powers that can eliminate the stress you are experiencing.
When you start to feel tense, put $500,000 into an insured envelope and mail it to: Bill Turner, c/o Calendar Letters, Los Angeles Times. After mailing the cash, go to the nearest fast-food joint and apply for a job. Work behind the counter for six months, and I guarantee that you will be ready to go back to the burdensome job of being a rich and famous rock star.
This is a public service announcement and applies to anyone with a lot of money that depresses them.
BILL TURNER, Los Angeles
