Carpinteria 21, St. Bonaventure 14--Damian Ryan rushed for the deciding touchdown midway through the third quarter and quarterback Benjy Trembly threw two touchdown passes to lead Carpinteria (4-2, 1-0) in a Tri-Valley League game at Ventura High.
Brad Burnett completed 19 of 22 for 141 yards and one touchdown for St. Bonaventure (2-4, 0-1). Burnett threw a six-yard touchdown pass to Jake Brown and Topi Sanchez scored from two yards.
St. Bonaventure’s Chris Mendez caught 10 passes for 87 yards.
