Franklin 27, Verdugo Hills 0--The Dons (1-6, 1-3) were held to 51 yards and penalized 10 times for 64 and suffered their third consecutive loss. Greg Martin was held to 13 yards in 10 carries and David Bryant completed nine of 17 for 55 yards with one interception. Bryant also was sacked seven times for minus-85 yards.

Jeff Deno completed eight of 14 for 105 yards and a touchdown for Franklin (3-3-1, 2-1-1) and also rushed for two touchdowns on one-yard sneaks.

Verdugo Hills drove to the Panther 11-yard line in the first quarter, but lost seven yards on the next four plays.
