GARDEN GROVE : Boulevard to Get New Storm Drain
- Share via
Construction is expected to start next month on a storm drain system on Garden Grove Boulevard.
Eastbound traffic will be reduced to one lane, and officials say motorists are encouraged to find alternative routes.
The $268,875 project calls for installation of 60-inch and 48-inch reinforced concrete pipes and catch basins between Gilbert Street and Village Road, a distance of about 1,000 feet.
Parking in the area will be restricted, but access to businesses and residences along the construction area will be maintained.
The system is designed to improve the existing drainage system and to alleviate flooding of the commercial area on the north side of Garden Grove Boulevard.
Work is expected to continue until mid-January, 1994.
