Authorities and friends of murder victim Jaime Uriarte, who was killed last Sunday by a man wielding a shotgun, are seeking public assistance in finding his slayer.
A Rowland Heights resident, Uriarte, 20, was shot about 2 a.m. in the parking lot of a convenience store at 2410 S. Fullerton Road.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s investigators said Uriarte, who was with about five friends, left his car and exchanged words with two men in a champagne-colored Nissan Maxima parked nearby. The argument ended when one man pulled out a shotgun and fired at Uriarte.
Daniel Hanrahan, 21, a friend of the slain man who was at the murder scene, said the Maxima was specially lowered and rode close to the ground. He and others hope that residents or passersby may have noticed the car that evening and the two young men inside the vehicle.
Anyone with information is urged to contact detectives at (213) 974-4341.
