Glendale 41, Ventura 0--Quarterback Chris Ray and running back Pathon Rucker led the Vaqueros in a Western State Conference rout at Glendale High. Ray completed 16 of 22 passes for 235 yards. He connected for two second-quarter touchdown passes to Kieron Estrada as Glendale (3-3-1, 2-3-1) took a 27-0 lead into halftime.
Rucker gained 108 yards in 17 carries. Running back Jerome Casey scored on runs of four and six yards and finished with 47 yards in nine carries.
The game marked the sixth time this season the Pirates (0-7, 0-6) had been shut out.
