Benton Oil Russian Venture Makes First Shipment: Oxnard-based Benton Oil & Gas Co. has sold 90,000 barrels of crude to an unnamed Eastern European country--the first oil produced by Geoilbent Ltd., its joint venture in western Siberia. The sale was for about $1.2 million. Benton holds a 34% interest in Geoilbent, which was formed in 1991. The two Russian partners, Purneftegasgeologia Industrial Assn. and Purneftegas, each hold 33%.
