MISSION VIEJO : Saddleback Board Gets New President

Marcia Milchiker of Laguna Hills has been elected president of the Saddleback Community College District Board of Trustees.
Milchiker, 47, a trustee for eight years, was chosen in a board vote on Monday. She succeeds John S. Williams of Mission Viejo, who was elected vice president.
The board elected Teddi Lorch of San Clemente to be clerk.
All serve one-year terms.
Since election to the board in 1985, Milchiker has served as president, vice president and clerk. She also has represented the board on the Orange County Legislative Task Force and the Commission on Legislation and Finance for the California Assn. of Community Colleges.
Milchiker, who is married and has three sons, holds a master’s degree in biology.
She is on the board of the Orange County School Boards Assn., the Women’s Roundtable of Orange County, the advisory committee for the Santa Ana Unified School District’s teen parent program, and as a judge for the Orange County Teacher of the Year Award, K-12 division.
