Man Shot in His Home by Intruders

WESTMINSTER — A man was shot and critically wounded Wednesday when two men forced their way into his house in the 6200 block of Hefley Street, police said.
The victim, whom police have not identified, was shot in the chest with a handgun. He was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange, where he was reported in critical condition. A woman at the house was unharmed, according to Sgt. D. E. Kerr.
Neighbors reported the sounds of an argument and shots being fired from inside the home.
Police said that the suspects, two men, fled the scene in a red Toyota pickup.
