The board of directors of Methodist Hospital of Southern California has selected Dennis M. Lee, a 43-year-old Monrovia resident, as the new president of the Huntington Drive hospital.
Lee will be responsible for the 347-bed facility near the Santa Anita Park racetrack and will also serve as president of Methodist Hospital Foundation, the board announced.
He will replace Frederick C. Meyer, president since 1985. Meyer will become chief operating officer of Southern California Healthcare, formed when Methodist Hospital and Pasadena’s Huntington Memorial Hospital affiliated in December, 1992. Meyer will oversee operations at both facilities and handle corporate affairs.
Methodist Hospital hired Lee in April, 1991, as chief operating officer. For the past year, he has served as executive vice president and administrator of the hospital.
Lee is on the board of the Arcadia Chamber of Commerce and is vice chairman of the Arcadia branch of the American Heart Assn.
