Warner Bros.’ International Sales Chief Leaves: In a surprise announcement, the company said Michael J. Solomon, president of Warner Bros. International TV Distribution, will leave effective April 1. Solomon, 55, joined Warner Bros. in 1989 when the studio acquired the independent TV producer and distributor Lorimar-Telepictures Corp. Solomon was one of the founding principals of Telepictures before it merged with Lorimar in 1985. Solomon said he will form his own international telecommunications company. Warner Bros. did not announce a successor, but sources indicated it is likely to be Jeffrey R. Schlesinger, the division’s senior vice president.
