Workers Flee Electric Blast

NEWARK, N.J. — A transformer explosion apparently caused by road salt seeping into the electrical system forced the evacuation of a 26-story office building Thursday, officials said. The blast sparked a fire that sent smoke into the building. No injuries were reported.
