The coaching turnover at UCLA continued Monday with the announcement that Bill Rees, the Bruin recruiting coordinator, would leave Westwood after 15 seasons to become an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Kansas.
UCLA hired Mike Sherman, most recently on the staff at Texas A&M;, as an assistant and placed him in charge of the offensive line.
Rees is the fourth full-time assistant to leave UCLA since the 1993 season, joining offensive coordinator Homer Smith, offensive line coach Bob Palcic and receivers coach Rick Neuheisel in new jobs.
Sherman rejoins offensive coordinator Bob Toledo, with whom he worked at Texas A&M.;
Rees had overseen recruiting of more than 90 prep All-Americans and more than 30 of his recruits played in the NFL last season.
