BOYS’ BASKETBALL / STATE CHAMPIONSHIP : Bakersfield East Wins Division II

Eli Anderson scored a game-high 19 points to lead Bakersfield East High to a 68-59 victory over Roseville Oakmont in the State Division II boys’ championship game Friday night.
Before 6,640 at the Oakland Coliseum Arena, East (29-4) broke open a close game in the second quarter by outscoring Oakmont, 19-11.
Anthony Flood and Whitney Brake led Oakmont (31-4) with 14 and 12 points, respectively.
San Diego Lincoln Prep 63, San Anselmo Sir Francis Drake 50--Mark Sanford, a 6-foot-8 senior center, scored a game-high 18 points to lead Lincoln (25-7) to the Division IV championship at the Oakland Coliseum Arena.
Drake was overpowered from the start as Lincoln took a 24-10 halftime lead. Lincoln led by as many as 20 points and Drake never got closer than seven in the second half.
