A Ventura County group that gives advice on activities affecting senior citizens is accepting applications for new members.
Members will advise the Ventura County Area Agency on Aging, make recommendations on funding, and act as a liaison between the agency and the senior citizen community, said spokeswoman Karen Mondragon.
The advisory council meets at least 10 times a year, she said. Applications submitted will be forwarded to the Ventura County Board of Supervisors, which will appoint 19 members by July 1, Mondragon said.
Application blanks are available at the Area Agency on Aging office, 505 Poli St., Ventura, or by calling 652-7560, she said. Completed applications must be submitted no later than April 20.
