PICO-UNION : Prevention Is Theme of Health Fair

Preventive care is the theme of a health fair Saturday at the Angelica Lutheran Church, 1345 S. Burlington Ave.
The fair, which runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., will offer free health exams and other services, including health history evaluations, body measurements, blood pressure and vision tests, and advice on reducing stress.
Tests to check for thyroid problems, diabetes, cholesterol levels and prostate cancer will be available for a fee.
Health care professionals will summarize the test results and discuss options for additional health care.
Health fairs are also scheduled for Friday at Angeles Plaza Senior Activity Center, 255 S. Hill St., and Saturday at the Chinatown Service Center, 600 N. Broadway, and at the Echo Park Recreation Center, 1632 Bellevue Ave.
