NORTH HOLLYWOOD — A 45-year-old motorist apparently suffered a heart attack and died moments before he lost control of his car and slammed head-on into another vehicle, Los Angeles police said Wednesday.
The driver of the second vehicle was not seriously injured, police said.
Witnesses told officers that before the collision, they saw Roger Eubanks, 45, slumped over the steering wheel as his car traveled down Riverside Drive on Tuesday afternoon, said Officer Norman Nagengast of the LAPD’s Valley Traffic Division.
Eubanks of Ventura crossed into westbound traffic on Riverside Drive near Mary Ellen Avenue when he struck a vehicle driven by Stanley Neill of Pasadena, Nagengast said.
An autopsy to determine the cause of death will be held this week, authorities said.
