FULLERTON — Cal State Fullerton freshman basketball player Josh King, a 6-foot-7 forward who was regarded as the team’s top young prospect, will transfer to Rhode Island.
“We gave him his release a couple of weeks ago and he’s decided to go there,” Coach Brad Holland said. “He told me he thought he’d like being at a smaller school better. He said he liked playing for me and liked our staff, but he feels this will be better for him and I have to respect that.”
King averaged 6.7 points and 4.1 rebounds last season.
