Nordstrom to Try Interactive Home Shopping: The Seattle-based department store chain said it plans to plug into two separate interactive home shopping tests being launched by regional phone companies U.S. West and Bell Atlantic Corp. Nordstrom said it signed a licensing pact to participate in an interactive shopping trial that U.S. West will launch in the Midwest. “We are going to work directly with those two providers,” John Nordstrom, the retailer’s co-chairman, said. “And if the interactive TV part of it is successful, we’ll move right along with the technology providers, and we will be a provider of the merchandise.”
