COMMERCE : Man Killed, 2 Critically Wounded by Abductors
- Share via
One man was killed and two other were critically wounded Wednesday night after abductors drove them to a quiet industrial section of Commerce and shot them several times, Sheriff’s Department officials said Thursday.
Deputies arrived at Pacific Way near Oak Street shortly after 10 p.m. and found the victims. The motive was not immediately clear and there were no witnesses, Deputy Irma Beceirra said. The two survivors were in critical condition, she said.
Investigators believe the three men were kidnaped by four people and were taken to Commerce near a railway yard, where there are few people at night and the Long Beach Freeway is easily accessible.
