BREA : Park Concerts Offer Musical Variety

Rock, contemporary jazz, reggae, county and big-band music will be featured during this summer’s eight-week Concerts in the Park series.
The free 90-minute concerts are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays at City Hall Park, 401 S. Brea Blvd. Community groups will operate concession stands, and the city pool will be open.
Kicking off the series July 6 will be Bobby Cochran and the Rhythm Rockers performing rock hits from the 1950s and ‘60s. The rest of the schedule is:
* July 13: Pandemonium (steel drum music).
* July 20: U.S. Marine Corps Band.
* July 27: Eddie Reed Swing Band (big-band tunes).
* Aug. 3: Buffalo Brewing Company (country and bluegrass).
* Aug. 10: Sapadilla (reggae).
* Aug. 17: Mike Gealer and Euphoria (contemporary jazz).
* Aug. 24: Midwest Coast (Top-40 hits).
