Christopher Lopez suffered minor injuries after he stepped onto 2nd Street near Moorpark Avenue about 7:15 p.m. and was hit by a car traveling westbound on 2nd, according to Ventura County Sheriff’s Sgt. Keith Parks.
The boy was taken to Simi Valley Hospital, where he was treated for a bump on his head and minor cuts and bruises, authorities said. A hospital official said he would probably be released late Friday.
