* The Peoples’ Tax Reform Initiative will be discussed at a town hall meeting sponsored by the Northwest San Fernando Valley chapter of United We Stand America at 7 p.m. Friday at Fallbrook Mall’s Community Room, 6633 Fallbrook Ave., Canoga Park. Participants should enter at the food court. Signatures are currently being collected to place the initiative, which would replace the existing state personal income tax with a 2 1/2% flat tax, on a future ballot in California.
