Fluor Corp.: The company said Thursday that its Fluor Daniel subsidiary has been awarded a three-year contract for maintenance and modification services at the Palo Verde nuclear power plant outside Phoenix.
Fluor Daniel was chosen by Arizona Public Service Co. for the work on the power plant, the largest nuclear facility in the United States. The job will employ as many as 150 workers, the company said. The Irvine-based Fluor Daniel has done maintenance and modification for 15 nuclear generating plants over the years.
