Parmenter 5th in Backstroke

Jennifer Parmenter, 13, of Santa Clarita finished fifth in the 200-meter backstroke in the Janet Evans Invitational at USC on Friday. Her time was 2:18.62.
Megumi Shigeta (2:15.22) of Japan won the race.
