Retail Gas Prices Up More Than 1 1/2 Cents, Analyst Says: The increase at the pump over the past two weeks was due to higher crude oil prices and summer demand, said Trilby Lundberg of the biweekly Lundberg Survey. The average price of gas was 120.46 cents per gallon for the period ended July 22, up 1.52 cents from the previous survey, the industry analyst said. At self-serve pumps, the average price of regular, unleaded gasoline was 113.76 cents per gallon. Mid-grade unleaded was 124.20 cents, premium 132.53 cents and leaded 116.17 cents.
