Story on Watts Conveyed City’s ‘Mystic’ Nature
- Share via
Robert Lopez is once again to be commended for a well-written yet easy to read article (“Legacy of Neglect,” July 17).
His expose on Watts provided insight on why even today it carries mystic characteristics. While many (of all backgrounds and ethnicities) misunderstand Watts, I learned during childhood from firsthand experience and through sharing with family members, starting with great-grandparents who discovered Watts in the ‘40s, many positive lessons that I utilize even today.
Again, you are fortunate to have someone of Mr. Lopez’s caliber who takes the time to investigate and give readership a sense of reality.
