IRVINE — John Combs, 35, was promoted Monday to chief executive officer of O’Donnell Property Services Inc., an Irvine company that manages real estate in California and Nevada.
“We’re seeing tremendous opportunities in the marketplace, as evidenced by our growth,” said Combs, who joined O’Donnell in 1987 as director of asset management and was most recently company president.
John D. O’Donnell, 61, the former CEO and company founder, remains as chairman. J.R. Wetzel, 36, former executive vice president of marketing, succeeds Combs as president.
O’Donnell, which has eight offices in California and one in Las Vegas, is now the nation’s 47th largest commercial property management firm. It has 24 million square feet under management, up from 16 million square feet in 1992.
Since July, O’Donnell has won several new contracts, including one to manage 2.1 million square feet of property in Irvine Spectrum, the Orange County business complex owned by Irvine Co.
