Groundwater Remediation Inc.: The Orange County company, which cleans contaminated soil and ground water, said Tuesday it is being purchased by an environmental holding company based in Hawaii.
EIF Holdings Inc. of Honolulu said it expects to close the deal by the end of the month. Terms were not released.
EIF Holdings is in an acquisition phase, Executive Vice President Andy Kasianchuk said. Groundwater Remediation, based in Orange, was an attractive target primarily because it has a presence in California, he said. “It is a small company, but through our eight offices in California we will be able to market its services.”
Groundwater Remediation, which is also involved with the construction and servicing of underground tanks, will continue to provide services in California, Nevada and Arizona.
