Time Warner Names New Chief of Magazines: As expected, Norman Pearlstine, a former Wall Street Journal managing editor, will succeed Jason McManus. As the fifth editor in chief of Time Inc., a division of Time Warner Inc., Pearlstine, 51, will oversee Time, Sports Illustrated, People, Fortune and the division’s other publications. McManus, 60, plans to retire at the end of the year.
