Northridge Loses Volleyball Final

Missy Clements and Aimee Stone each had 19 kills, but the Cal State Northridge women’s volleyball team was beaten Saturday in the championship match of the Northern Arizona tournament by the host team, 15-11, 15-10, 6-15, 13-15, 15-10.
Clements added career highs of 24 digs and nine blocks. Northridge (6-5) recorded 20 total team blocks but was limited to a .122 hitting percentage. Northern Arizona hit only .098.
Heather Anderson, who was named to the all-tournament team along with Clements and Stone, had 14 kills, 12 digs and a career-high 13 blocks.
Shelly Smith led Northern Arizona (8-3) with 22 kills and 22 digs.
