ORANGE : Hearing on Reprimand Is Delayed
A public hearing on a reprimand stemming from sexual harassment charges was postponed Monday by officials of the Orange Unified School District.
A new date for the hearing of chief fiscal officer Joyce Capelle--accused last December of tolerating sexual harassment in the workplace--has not been set, according to Supt. Robert L. French.
The Board of Education had dropped charges against Capelle in August, but she had requested a public hearing on a letter of reprimand that board members proposed to put in her file.
The board also postponed a closed discussion of a defamation suit filed by Capelle and two other administrators involved in the scandal.
