Officials will offer an orientation for emergency response volunteers Oct. 8 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the North Net Fire Training Center, 2400 E. Orangewood Ave.
The orientation is designed to prepare volunteers to help during a major disaster in tasks that would include damage and casualty assessment, emergency communications and shelter assistance.
“We are always looking for more people we can train to assist us during a major disaster,” said Anaheim Fire Chief Jeff Bowman. “This orientation is the first step in mobilizing our citizen volunteers and allows them to give back to the community before and during a disaster.”
For more information, call the Anaheim Fire Department at (714) 254-4000.
