NAKHON NAYOK, Thailand — A flash flood swept through a park Sunday, killing at least 16 people. Six people were injured and 17 others were missing.
Police Lance Cpl. Uthai Kietipong said the victims were swimming in a stream in Wang Takrai park, a popular recreation area at the foot of a mountain 50 miles northeast of Bangkok.
A witness said park officials sounded a warning buzzer only moments before the water rushed into the park.
